Skincare in 5 Easy Steps

Skincare can be overwhelming for a lot of people. Maybe you’re not sure where to start, or maybe you’re not sure what products to use. Well, you came to the right place. We’re here to let you know that a skincare doesn’t require much at all, just as long as you’re ready to incorporate it into your daily routine, everything else is quite simple. Here are the five easy steps to achieving a perfect skincare routine, as well as some products we think are great to start with!

Step 1: Cleanse before anything!

No makeup routine is worthwhile without a cleanser. You need to start your routine with a fresh, clean face, that’s the only way to guarantee the products you’re using later on are as effective as you want them to be. Make sure you’re using the cleanser on a damp face when washing your skin off. We recommend using Kolagra’s Vitamin C Facial Cleanser, which works to improve your complexion texture and give it a softer and smoother feel.

Step 2: Toners are super effective

While cleansing helps clean your skin, toners are actually an extra step that you can take to ensure that your skin is 100% clean and ready for your routine. Toners remove dirt, pollution and dust from your skin and can give you an extra-deep cleanse. We recommend the Clarifying Toner from Cleo Laboratories, which is alcohol-free and features soothing and purifying ingredients.

Step 3: Serums are sacred

Serums are all the rage right now, with industry professionals and beauty influencers making this trend a party of our daily skincare routine. There are plenty of serums that you can incorporate into your skincare routine, but there are two that we think are a must-try.

First is hyaluronic acid. This serum made waves on social media recently, with a lot of people recently discovering this god sent beauty product. Hyaluronic acid plumps, renews and refreshes your skin, not only adding moisture to your face, but also helping the skin absorb the moisture. Use this serum on a damp face, we suggest you use a face mist like Areej Aromatherapy’s Rose Floral Water for a bit of moisture, then rub a few drops of hyaluronic acid on your face until it’s all absorbed. If you’re wondering which hyaluronic acid product to buy, we recommend the Hyaluronic Acid Serum from Kolagra.

Second serum we simply can’t live without is vitamin C. This serum will moisturize, nourish and hydrate your skin. It’s perfect to use this serum if you want to target fine lines and wrinkles. Not only that, but it will also even out your skin tone and leave you looking brighter and younger in no time. We strongly recommend trying out Infinity Pharma’s Vitamin C Serum.

Step 4: Lock it all in with a moisturizer

We’ll be honest with you.. All this would be quite useless without a moisturizer to lock everything in. A good moisturizer will be saving grace in any skincare routine. This is your final step for your face routine and it will pretty much keep everything your face absorbed in place and help all the products reach max effectiveness. You can go the extra mile and use a moisturizer that also doubles as sun protection like Neauth France’s Sun Protection System Lotion, which counteracts UV damage and protects your skin from sun damage.

Step 5: Extra measurements you can follow

Face masks

Face masks can be such a fun and relaxing way to take care of your skin. Just picture it; it’s the weekend, you’re in bed binging your favorite show, with some snacks and a refreshing face mask on. There are plenty of face masks to choose from, especially since each one has its own benefits. Right now, however, we’re obsessed with Hydra Bomb Pomegranate Face Mask from Garnier, which provides your face with hydration for up to 24 hours.

Don’t forget the lips

The lips are a vital part of your face too. So don’t forget about them! Having a quick lip routine won’t take you any time and who doesn’t want plump and supple lips? Use a lip scrub like Go Natural’s Natural Lip Scrub, to remove dead and dry skin, and exfoliate, as well as hydrate your lip. Afterwards, use a lip balm of your choice to shield your lips from any dry air and the chap that comes with colder weather. We recommend The Bath Land’s Hazelnut Lip Balm.
