Why Do You Need Toners?

Have you ever listened to someone talk about ‘toners’ and nodded in agreement, while in reality you had no idea what they were saying? Same! We’re here to let you know that you are not alone. While we love to rave about toners, do we really know why they’re such a hit and how beneficial they are to our skin? What are toners and how do they fit into your skincare routine? We did a little research and here we are, once again, to hit you with some facts!

Toners are designed to gently cleanse your skin without stripping it of its natural moisture. They strip away excess impurities that aren’t removed with your cleanser when you wash your face, all the while keeping your skin hydrated and tightening your pores, making them a great anti-aging product. Meaning if you have sensitive skin, you can still use toners as they will not cause excessive dryness or irritation. They are also used to prep your skin for moisturiser/serum application post-cleansing, balancing its pH levels and allowing your skin to absorb all the moisture and nutrients it needs.

After cleansing, your skincare products should always be applied from lightest to heaviest, with the exception of SPF, being the last.Toners are an essential part of any skincare routine and their water-like consistency means they should be used right after you wash/cleanse your face, before applying your moisturiser or whatever other skin treatments like serums and oils. Say it with us now- cleanse, tone, moisturise

Now that you’ve been familiarized with this amazing, must-have skincare product, we’re going to introduce you to some toners that we love.
